This pouf was made by artisans of the Ouaouzguiti Association.

The Ouaouzguiti Association is made up of a constellation of 125 artisans in ten Villages throughout the Siroua region. Founded over 80 years ago, Aicha is one of the leaders of the Association. This enduring Association makes a large variety of rugs.

This pouf style combines two of the techniques this association specializes in;  Flatweave and Zanafi.

The Flatweave technique is thin, soft, strong and full of symbolism. They’re also called “hanbel” or “aknif” in Arabic.

The Zanafi weaving technique comes from the High Atlas Mountains. This technique requires the highest level of skill and concentration. Each row is created with an intricate system of counting. This style is extra special as it's reversible.
